On Monday, July 29, 2025, around 21:00, a 30‑year‑old Nigerian boy named Courage Amadin was fatally stabbed on Corso Giulio Cesare, near Lungo Dora Savona, in Turin’s Aurora/Barriera di Milano area. He suffered at least four knife wounds to his abdomen and chest and died at the hospital shortly after being admitted. The presumed altercation began near a kebab kiosk and escalated into violence on the street.

The victim, identified only as a boy in his thirties of Nigerian origin, collapsed near civic number 14 on Corso Giulio Cesare and was pronounced dead at Ospedale San Giovanni Bosco, a popular hospital in the city of Turin.

The area has a reputation for micro‑criminality and drug dealing, creating an unstable environment where violent incidents have occurred previously

Ongoing Investigation

Turin police’s Squadra Mobile, led by Davide Corazzini, with homicide specialist Valentina Costa and PM Laura Longo, is conducting the investigation. So far, the weapon has not been recovered. CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts are being collected to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Politicians and residents voiced grave concerns. Patrizia Alessi of Fratelli d’Italia described the victim’s death as “a foretold death,” citing longstanding violence in the neighbourhood. The incident is strikingly similar to earlier cases in the same area, including the May killing of 19‑year‑old Mamoud Diane and the 2021 murder of Hamza Moufiki, both also by stabbing.

Was the Suspect Also Nigerian? Across reports, the victim’s nationality is consistently described as Nigerian. However, none of the sources specify the suspect’s nationality.

While the attacker is currently at large, no confirmation has emerged that he was also Nigerian.
