COALITION OF BENIN SOCIO-CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS.

In response to the recent media interview granted by one Prof. Gregory Akenzua, the Enogie of Evbuobanosa where he was seen trying to deny some of the atrocious and abominable acts he has been perpetuating against the revered Throne of Benin kingdom, indigenous people of Evbuobanosa and the good people of Benin kingdom in recent times.
The leadership and members of the Coalition Of Benin Socio-Cultural Organizations, do hereby condemn in strong terms the childish moves by the above-mentioned Professor of ill questionable characters, to misinform the good people of the Great Kingdom of Benin at home and the world at large.

It could be recalled that Prof. Gregory Akenzua the Enogie of Evbuobanosa and the former Enogie of Egbaen Siluku were the masterminds and signatories to the evil letter addressed to the Governor of Edo State His Excellency Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki some couple of months ago with the title:

“RE: PLEASE CONSTITUTE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL FOR EDO SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF EDO STATE”
The letter was drafted and duly signed by the two above-mentioned and some other recalcitrant Enigies who we consider as enemies of the Great Kingdom of Benin with the aim of causing a rift between the Edo state government and the Benin traditional council/institution.

If he actually meant well for his people and the great kingdom of Benin in general as he has rightly claimed in the media interview, why didn’t he and his accomplices seek the consent of His Royal Majesty, Oba of Benin through the Benin traditional council before addressing a such letter to the state government?
Secondly, if he felt his motives were wrongly interpreted by the Benin traditional council and the good people of the Benin kingdom as it where, what also stopped him from running to His Majesty, the Oba of Benin to seek his audience as a loyal subject to immediately give his own account of the story in order to exonerate himself from the said allegation as soon as the hint of the malicious cum evil letter got to His Majesty through the Benin traditional council?

Instead, he waited till this time and day as a supposedly loyal subject to the great king of the Benin kingdom before coming up with his cooked-up stories to defend his dirty sacrilegious act.

It’s so sad and shameful to note that a supposed traditionally oriented Benin son such as Prof.Gregory Akenzua who is supposed to be one of the chief custodians of the rich Benin culture and traditions, who is supposed to be committed to the protection and preservation of Benin cultural heritages considering his royal upbringing and training, is now the one seen at the forefront working against the Revered Royal institution and kingdom in an attempt to drag his Revered forefather’s throne to the mud. We thought by now, Prof Greg Akenzua would no longer be seen in a such questionable disgraceful act. We haven’t forgotten his moves during the coronation of His Majesty, how he attempted to fraudulently collect funds from Edo state in the name of coronation which led to his removal as the Chairman of His Majesty’s coronation committee.

We as members of the above-mentioned coalition will not allow, condole, non tolerate any act of foolishness cum disobedience from any quarter towards our most respected first-class king and Throne neither are we going to sit and watch anyone spite the revered throne and palace institution in anyways.

As a coalition,we will resist by all means possible any attempted attempt to disrespect our monarch because our allegiance is to the throne of great Benin kingdom and not to anyone no matter how highly placed in the society, be political or otherwise.

The man that brings ant-infested faggots into his hut should not grumble when lizards begin to pay him a visit.

To this end, the entire members and leaders of the above-named coalition, therefore, uses this medium to emphatically warn and advise anyone who is in the habit of causing issues in the kingdom to stop immediately, as the distraction of our ever-focused and dependable great Oba of Benin kingdom from attracting the needed development to the kingdom for the good of us all will no longer be tolerated.
