There was a grand reception at Igbologun Town Hall recently, as Comrade Ayodele Adewale, immediate past Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA and Founder of the Consolidation Group (TCG) led members of the group and other All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwarts on the final of the ward to ward campaign to the riverine axis to present the four (4) TCG Chairmanship aspirants and their plans to the constituents, Obaland Magazine learnt.
On arrival, the TCG paid a courtesy visit to the community Baale’s and elders after which they moved into the Igbologun Town Hall to introduce the four (4) TCG chairmanship aspirants and TCG Counselorship candidate to the community leaders (BAALE) of the riverine areas.
The aspirants took turns to present their plans for the riverine community and the entire local government at large. It was an interactive session as questions were asked about their plans and strategies for the development of the local government area and especially the riverine area given that local government presence had not been felt for the past six (6) years in the community.
The four (4) aspirants assured the riverine community of an all-inclusive government when one of them emerges as the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government.
The assembled crowd appealed to the aspirants to keep to their words and ensure development within the community when any of them eventually emerges as the council chief.
A total of 315 adults attended the meeting and pledged to work assiduously for the emergence of a TCG aspirant as flag bearer for the APC come Saturday, May 29, 2021.
