Ghana police have arrested a large number of Nigerian citizens living in Ghana. The Nigerian citizens were arrested and detained and being investigated to know if they have committed any kind of offences in Ghana.
This happened recentlyin Ghana. The Ghana police have also ordered landlords in Ghana to install CCTV surveillance in their compounds.
The Ghana police also urged landlords to report any Nigerians living in their house who is suspected to be a criminal, to the Ghana police immediately.
The police also required the landlords to conduct a background check to know what these Nigerians do for a living.
This is coming following the arrest of over 100 Nigerians in one police raid in Ghana. In another operation about 26 suspects who are Nigerians were arrested.
Items recovered from the suspects are 31 laptops, 26 mobile phones, 5 matches and drugs.
