At the United Bulawayo Hospitals in Zimbabwe, a nine-year-old girl who was allegedly impregnated by her father gave birth to a newborn boy.
The C-section that delivered the baby took place on Monday.
Dr. Harrison Rambanapasi, UBH’s interim clinical director, announced, “I wish to inform the nation that our nine-year-old has given birth at UBH. Early this morning, one of our specialists conducted a C-section.

The final result is a healthy girl who is slightly over 3 kilograms in weight. The mother and the newborn are doing well.
Meanwhile, the minor’s father, the sole male relative she lived with, was detained in August after her pregnancy was revealed.
Apparently, the victim only reported hearing the abuse at night.
Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, the First Lady of Zimbabwe, paid a visit to the pregnant victim on Saturday, bringing food and other supplies.
