ABUJA — Mrs. Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Community Engagement for the South-East, has called on residents of the zone to massively support the President in the 2027 general election, citing what she described as unprecedented infrastructure development in the region. Nweze made the appeal on Sunday after an inspection tour of ongoing federal road projects in the South-East alongside the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi. According to Nweze, the scale of road construction and rehabilitation currently ongoing in the region under the Tinubu administration is the most extensive in Nigeria’s history. “This is unprecedented in the annals of the country, as the President has demonstrated unbridled love and affection for the people of the zone,” she said. She pointed to several key projects, including the construction of a new superhighway that traverses multiple states, with a major section passing through Ebonyi. Nweze described the superhighway as a “transformative initiative” that will boost trade, ease transportation, and connect communities across the South-East and beyond. “The project will facilitate movement of goods and people, strengthen economic ties, and open up new opportunities for businesses in the region,” she said.
