The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors and the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives have expressed their support for the ban on the importation, manufacture, distribution, sale, and use of alcoholic beverages in sachets and small bottles of 200ml and below. They believe that the ban will have positive effects on the health of society and family finances, as sachet alcohol is easily accessible and can lead to addiction. However, the Trade Union Congress and the Nigeria Labour Congress continue to protest the ban, claiming that it will result in job losses and damage the economy. They are demanding the suspension of the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola.

nions argue that the ban will negatively impact indigenous manufacturing companies and result in significant financial losses. The protests against the ban have been ongoing, with the TUC and NLC calling for the intervention of State Houses of Assembly to lift the ban.
