The group appealed to Governor
Okpebholo to order Aigbogun’s release, citing Section 36 (12) of the 1999 Constitution, which states that a person cannot be convicted without a defined offence and prescribed penalty. They also urged the police to operate within constitutional mandates and principles of justice
