The police received an anonymous tip on December 30, leading to arrest. During interrogation, he confessed to burying his son in a shallow grave under a banana tree behind their house.
In a separate incident, the police have arrested 25 individuals in connection with a cult clash in Owo town, where four people were allegedly killed. The police commissioner, Wilfred Afolabi, has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
The incidents highlight the growing concern over violence and crime in Ondo State, and the need for increased community engagement and support for law enforcement agencies.
