Pan-African festival set for 24 and 25 May 2022 , Torino Italy

The event of the Pan-African festival is scheduled for 24 and 25 May, the organizers of the event were heard this afternoon by the Special Commission of the City Council that deals with the phenomena of intolerance and racism. The president of the association, Jerome Bohui Gohouré, recounted the experience of Panafricando, the association founded in 2016 with the idea of uniting and integrating the cultures of over thirty African communities residing in Turin. It will be the Maffei theater cinema to host the kermesse that in the days of next week will tell the African art in the various declinations. In September, the organizers anticipated, a second festival will be organized at the headquarters of Spazio 211. Today Panafricando asks the municipal administration to design in tandem, such as developing the Casa Africa project. It would thus be possible, explained Bohui Gohouré, to tell the culture and history of the fifty-seven African states; every month in our continent of origin an independence day is celebrated and here in Turin we could program exhibitions, seminars, or screen documentaries to remember and spread the many souls of the Afro world. We need a space, a location still to be identified today. At the end of the work, all the Commissioners were invited to next week’s Pan-African festival, on the occasion of which the new artistic projects of the association will be presented.                       Update coming soon!!!
