Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Kebbi State to sympathize with the government and people, assuring them of the federal government’s commitment to rescuing the abducted girls.
Troops have been deployed to dismantle bandit bases in the state, with several terrorists neutralized and wounded soldiers evacuated for treatment.
US Senator Jim Risch and Riley Moore have condemned Nigeria’s failure to protect its citizens, particularly schoolchildren, from attacks.
Bandits attacked Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, killing three people and abducting many others.
Soldiers and police have been deployed to the area to prevent further attacks and rescue abducted victims.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has condemned the attack and requested additional security deployment to the area.
