Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL), the operator of Nigeria’s first commercial gold mine, the Segilola Gold Mine, has emerged as a big winner at the maiden edition of the Solid Minerals Excellence Awards (SOMEA) 2026. SROL received five award nominations and walked away with the following awards: SOMEA Gold Mining Company of the Year, SOMEA Outstanding Gold Producer of the Year ā the SOMEA Main Category, and SOMEA Outstanding Gold Producer of the Year ā the Mines Inspectorate Category.
