The accident occurred on Tuesday as Abdurrazaq was traveling to Kano State to participate in the induction ceremony, which is a significant milestone for new graduates entering the healthcare field. The announcement of his passing was made by Fakhruddeen Auwal Taheer, the former president of the National Association of Physiotherapy Students at BUK, through a heartfelt post on Facebook.

In his tribute, Taheer expressed profound sorrow over the loss, stating, “Inna lillahi wa inna alaihi raji’un. We lost him just a week before their induction into the Physiotherapy Profession! I just came to realize the death of our good friend and also a junior colleague, Abdurrazaq Olajide, who was involved in a road traffic accident today on his way back to Kano State in preparation for their induction ceremony scheduled for next week. Abdurrazaq was indeed a good person with a kind heart. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal peace in Jannatul Firausi.”

Abdurrazaq’s journey through academia was marked by dedication and perseverance. He spent seven years studying at the College of Health before finally graduating earlier this year. His commitment to his field and his compassionate nature endeared him to many. Senior Ameer, another Facebook user, highlighted this dedication, reflecting on the years Abdurrazaq spent preparing for his career. “Abdulrazak graduated from BUK earlier this year after spending about seven years in the College of Health. Today, on his way back to Kano to attend his Induction and Oath-taking ceremony next week, he had an accident and passed away. Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihirajiun. A painful exit, but Allah knows best.”

The sentiments of grief and condolences continued to pour in from various individuals within the community. Aminu A. Ibrahim remarked, “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihir rajun. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and count him among the dwellers of Jannah. Ameen. My condolences to his family and the entire physiotherapy family.” Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing their sorrow and prayers for Abdurrazaq’s soul, with many emphasizing the unpredictability of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.

This tragic event underscores the fragility of life and serves as a reminder to those left behind to hold dear their loved ones and the moments they share. As the community mourns the loss of a promising young professional, there is also a collective hope for his family to find solace during this difficult time.

Abdurrazaq Olajide’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his contributions to the field of physiotherapy will be remembered as an inspiration for current and future students. As the community reflects on his life, they remain united in their grief, honoring a young man whose journey was cut short far too soon.
