Meet Delta State Social Media Influencer who got 30,000 new followers who want to know more about him, Harrison Gwamnishu explains how the prison made him an advocate of human rights activist, he chatted with Obaland Magazine Chidinma Tijani recently on his journey.
My name is Harrison Gwamnishu, I was 22-years when the dreaded #SARS took me away from my parents. Tortured, hanged, and unjustly dumped in Kirikiri Prisons Lagos State.
Right inside the four walls of Kirikiri, I found a voice, a unique one, and also the courage, confidence, and strength. The prison made me.
22years, 23years, 24years, 25years, I was alone with thoughts of escape, suicide and later ushered into the kingdom of German Gate. I saw young people with aspirations languished and there was no one out there who could drop a rope to lift us out of Jail.
2015, Justice Omovie of High Court 5 Asaba in her ruling discharge me and I found myself back in Nigeria.
It is my desire to see a Nigeria where the Justice System will be favorable to all.
> A Nigeria where no one will be arrested and detained for his/her looks/dress
> A country where the poor gets bail and enjoy the same bail conditions granted to the rich.
> A country where torture must be abolished and a country we all can experience true freedom.
> A country where a police officer enjoys all welfare spelled out in the budget and stops daily collection on the express on weekly returns to Oga at the Top.
> A country where no one should be subjected to torture, mockery, and inhuman treatment.

Harrison wants to be there in love and in justice and truth and commitment to others, so that we can make of this old Nigeria a new Nigeria
