US President Donald Trump has strongly condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin for launching the largest aerial assault of the war on Ukraine, calling him “absolutely CRAZY” and warning of dire consequences for Russia if its aggression continues. Trump made these remarks in a post on social media, criticizing Putin’s actions as needlessly killing a lot of people.
The Russian attack, which occurred on deployed at least 367 drones and missiles, marking the most extensive aerial offensive in terms of weapons fired since the war began. Ukrainian officials reported that 12 people were killed in the strikes, including three children in the northern region of Zhytomyr.
While condemning Putin’s actions, Trump also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling for a change in his rhetoric. Trump stated that Zelenskyy’s words often cause problems and that the war would never have started if he were president. He described the conflict as “Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War,” claiming he was only helping to resolve the issues.

The Kremlin responded to Trump’s criticism, dismissing it as “emotional overload.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov acknowledged Trump’s comments while expressing gratitude for his previous efforts in organizing negotiation progress. The Kremlin also defended its aerial attacks, framing them as retaliatory measures against Ukrainian strikes on Russian infrastructure
The war in Ukraine, now in its fourth year, continues to escalate, with Russian forces making gains in eastern Ukraine. Both sides are engaging in high-tech battles along the frontlines, using swarms of drones. The Kremlin views its military action as a “special military operation” aimed at countering NATO’s influence near its borders, while Ukraine and its Western allies consider it an unprovoked act of aggression
