At the beginning of today’s session, the Sala Rossa in camera di congsilio di torino paid a heartfelt and silent tribute to the memory of three important figures of the City Council: the emeritus councilors Francesco Mollo, Gianpaolo Ormezzano and Maria Grazia Sestero, who passed away between last December and the first days of January.
The President of the City Council, Maria Grazia Grippo, opened the commemorative tribute by emotionally recalling the human and professional value of the three administrators. Before inviting the assembly to observe a minute of silence, Grippo retraced their respective political trajectories, highlighting the deep commitment and dedication that each has put into serving the community.
Francesco Mollo, a figure known for his administrative competence and capacity for dialogue, left an indelible mark with his vision oriented towards the common good. Gianpaolo Ormezzano, also famous as a journalist, brought to the political debate an extraordinary cultural sensitivity and a passion for constructive discussion. Finally, Maria Grazia Sestero was a strong and coherent voice, capable of representing with energy and determination the values of social justice and solidarity.
Their contribution was not limited to the long years spent in the Sala Rossa. Each of them played a significant role also in the field of associations and their respective professions, enriching the social and cultural fabric of our city.
President Grippo emphasized how important it is, in moments like these, to remember not only the institutional results, but also the human qualities that made Mollo, Ormezzano and Sestero examples of integrity and dedication. “Their commitment will remain a model for all of us,” she concluded.
After these words, the City Council observed a minute of silence, a simple but meaningful gesture, to honor the memory of three personalities who contributed to shaping the political and civil history of the city.
